Thank you for your interest in testing The Snuggle Set and bonus Animal Faces Pocket Test!  The Snuggle Set is designed for sizes Preemie – 3T and has several options to give you a stylish yet comfortable lounge set.  Take a look at the options:

Both the top and the pants both have a loose but not baggy fit.  This base fit is then built upon with your favorite options like the option to hem, to band, or use grow with me bands for extended wear.  The footed bottoms have optional elastic at the ankle for a more snug fit.  The set was also designed to work with fabrics with limited stretch .  I’ve included some photos below so that you can see different fabrics in use.  Some of the images below are previous drafts with slight fit modifications, the most recent versions will be noted.

Some suggested fabrics are:  Cotton Lycra, French Terry, Rib Knit, Waffle Knit, Hacci, Double Brushed Poly, Fleece (if it has a little bit of horizontal stretch).

*Double Brushed Poly & Fleece are not suggested for infant sleepwear.  Eunoia will not be able to use any photographs that depict an infant sleeping in a crib, as if nighttime, in our listing photos.

Fabric:  Doodles from JoAnns

This set did well with the Doodles collection but only when a fabric with great recovery was used for the neckband & waistband.  For the test doodles is definitely allowed but please choose the bands and cuffs using something like a cotton rib knit.

Fabric: Custom Cotton Lycra

This custom cotton lycra had great stretch and recovery so it was perfect for this set for both the body and the bands.

Fabric: Sweater Knit

Top Image:  This was the first one I sewed up out of a thin Walmart sweater knit but I think it turned out pretty cool, a little retro, but fun.  I thought I’d put him on the old 1970’s metal porch swing to finish his whole vibe.

Second Image:  This pre-test version was made from Hacci Sweater Knit

Fabric: Organic/GOTS Jersey (Print)

Material: 95% cotton 5% elastan.

This fabric, though thinner, also did really well.  I did choose to use a rib knit for the waistband. Since the print was a little thinner I wanted something more substantial for the waistband.

Fabric: Blizzard Fleece from JoAnns

This is an in process photo.  Some room was added to the body of the top in order to accommodate fleece.  This fleece does have some 2-way stretch.  If you choose a fleece it must have some horizontal stretch to it or it won’t work.

Fabric: Faux Fur Sherpa – JoAnns

This faux fur sherpa worked wonderfully, at places around the overlap in the neckline with the hood it was several layers but I simply went slower and it worked fine.  My serger even handled them, also going slow

Animal Pocket Add On Testing

I do have a few spaces open for these pockets outside of The Snuggle Set test.  When applying for the test please let me know your idea on where/how you would like to use the pocket.  My goal would be to try to get as much diversity of use from the test group outside of The Snuggle Set to confirm they work for those other items in size and application.

The pocket faces come in Youth:

  • XSmall (Preemie – 6-9 Months)
  • Small (9-12 months – 2T)
  • Medium (3T-6)
  • Large (7-10)
  • XLarge (12-20)

 TESTING TIME FRAME

Testing will run for 10 days.
January 27th– February 3d: is for to test fit and sew a muslin of the pattern. For your fit test the fabric can be/should be inexpensive but you want it to be similar in stretch to the fabric you want to use for your final version of the pattern. Please note that this pattern was pretested so many of the main fit points have been checked.  Fit testing allows for questions, confirm fit, construction flow and to help with any possible grading.  Fit photos are due on February 3rd.

February 4th – February 10th: is for sewing your “finals”.  Final photos are due on February 10th.

WHERE DO I TEST

It is our goal to make testing as smooth a process as possible.  You now have a couple choices for testing.
Private Facebook Groups give a group feel.  We use units to organize the different parts of our tests and the discussion feed is for updates, sharing pictures, asking questions etc.
OR
Email; you can correspond with me privately via email.
OR
BOTH; feel free to choose both if that helps.

Our Thanks
