Soursop Skirt

This is the  skirt you will ever make and you’ll find yourself making it again and again! It is definitely  a classic style that you will love!!  Pair it with a cozy long sleeve  and boots  for cooler months or wear it with a tank top during summer. Whatever the style , it is a sure staple for school or playtime, keeping  you on trend through all seasons.

With its curved pockets, stylish buttoned down  tabs (no buttonholes required) and flat front waistband, this skirt adds a lot of character for everyday wear. The super  comfortable  elastic waistband in the back of the skirt , adds that element of wearing simplicity. The waistband seams are fully enclosed, and the skirt has   topstitching  throughout to ensure that your garment rivals any high end store bought  garment.

The skirt was designed in two lengths  for comfort, style and practicality. The “At the Knee “ length sits just at the knee, the “Above the Knee” length sits approximately 3” above the knee depending on the size you make. The finished lengths are listed in the pattern for ease of reference and you will be able to adjust the skirt easily if you desire a different length.

The pattern comes with  instructions to blend sizes to get the best fit no matter how many sizes you may fall in. The elastic waistband also makes it easy to adjust for any size.

We recommend a light to medium weight woven fabric for the best results. You may consider using  cotton, linen, denim, corduroy.  Consider using different fabric shades and blends for a color blocked option.
